Hi I'm Eileen!
Welcome to my website! I eliminate errors and inconsistencies in your manuscript while improving its clarity and consistency so you can feel confident to publish.
I live in New Jersey with my husband of seventeen years and my guinea pig, Jack, who inspires many of my LinkedIn and Bluesky posts. I enjoy visiting with my mother-in-law, my brother, my sister, and my sister’s cat, Brigid.
As a child, I relished visits to the library. I would borrow five or more books each time. Many of the books I read nowadays are on Kindle, but I still get lost in the stories while relaxing in my comfy recliner with a cup of coffee. My favorite genre is mystery, including cozy mysteries, detective mysteries, suspense, and thrillers.
I love words and wordplay. Along with reading, solving word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles are my favorite pastimes. When the weather is pleasant, I will sit outside with one of my many puzzle magazines.
My Experience & Qualifications
Before I left my job in 2024 to focus on my freelancing, I worked with people who have multiple disabilities, both in schools and, more recently, group homes. While teaching, I often assisted my fellow teachers with writing and editing their reports. I took the Proofread Anywhere General Knowledge Course and received a certificate of excellence. I have also successfully completed fiction copyediting courses offered by the Editorial Freelancers Association and Club Ed Freelancers.
